The Grounds Guys Barrie is looking for an experienced gardener who has a passion for the horticultural world. The ideal candidate must be reliable, have an exceptional attention to detail and quality, time management and client relation skills.

Specific Responsibilities:

Manage team of up to 4 people while performing services; motivate, coach, and mentor the team
Perform garden maintenance duties for residential and commercial clients, such as garden edging, cultivating, hand weeding, trimming, pruning, spring and fall clean ups.
Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to bed edger, commercial mowers, blowers,, chainsaws, line trimmers, and tillers
Perform landscape enhancement activities such as mulch application, plantings, topsoil application, lawn seeding
Address clients' questions, comments, and concerns
Complete daily paperwork ie: vehicle and trailer checklist, work orders, time sheets, and other required documents

Job Requirements:

This position is full time, seasonal.
Current and unrestricted G Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
Background check
4 years minimum Experience in the horticulture field
Previous leadership experience
Ability to work Monday to Friday, and Saturdays when required
Willingness to work occasional overtime
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature
Steel toe boots/shoes

Rate of pay is $23 - $25 per hour depending on experience and skill level
